Description

Otterpool Manor is a farmhouse that dates from the 17th century or earlier, featuring a late 18th-century facade and an early 19th-century addition on the right. It is likely timber-framed. The front elevation of the left section is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with the left end made of red and grey brick. The right section's front elevation is also in red and grey brick in Flemish bond, and its right gable end is tile-hung at least to the first floor. The building has plain tile roofs and is two storeys high, with the right section having higher eaves. There is a modillioned wooden eaves cornice along the entire left section. Each section has a hipped roof, with the right hip of the left section returning.

The left section features a slender brick gable end stack, a multiple brick ridge stack towards the centre of the left section, and a rear stack on the right section. The windows are irregularly arranged, with six in total: two 16-pane sashes in open boxes and a central bulls-eye window in the left section, and a regular three-window front in the right section with two 12-pane sashes in open boxes and a blind central window. The ground-floor windows in the left section have splayed rubbed-brick voussoirs, while those in the right section have segmental heads. There is a blocked door in the left section beneath the stack. The left end of the right section features a door with four fielded panels, an enriched rectangular fanlight, and Doric pilasters, all behind a glazed porch. Additionally, there is a lean-to on the left and a short rear wing at the right end of the left section, which has a gable end dated 1633. The interior has not been inspected.
