Description
Yew Tree House and Yew Tree Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of red and grey brick, with an addition on the left side made of the same materials, which is further extended to the left in ironstone. The building has a plain tile roof and consists of two storeys and a basement set on a galleted stone plinth. There is a plain brick eaves band, and the addition to the left has much lower eaves. The roof is half-hipped to the right.
The main range features a regular five-window front with recessed segmental-headed 12-pane sash windows that have splayed rubbed brick voussoirs. The ground-floor windows are topped with narrow vitreous brick hoodmoulds above the voussoirs. A central panelled door is accessed by two steps. The left addition has four 2-light casement windows and a blocked door at the right end. The interior has not been inspected.
