Description
Pedlinge Court is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the 18th century, possibly with a medieval core. The front elevation is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, while the gable ends feature stone on the ground floor and are tile-hung above. The roof is plain tile and is hipped to the right. The building may consist of three timber-framed bays of a hall house, with a fourth bay added to the right. It stands two storeys high on a stone plinth, with a moulded brick string course and a plain brick eaves band.
The front has a regular arrangement of four windows, featuring 3-light casements with splayed rubbed-brick voussoirs, and 16-pane sashes on the ground floor, also with splayed rubbed-brick voussoirs. There is a panelled door located under the second window from the left, which is topped by a rectangular 2-light leaded fanlight and a flat hood. Additionally, there is a boarded door accessed by a flight of external steps towards the rear of the right gable end. A 19th-century stone lean-to is situated towards the rear of the left gable end, along with a narrow 19th-century stone parallel rear range that has three rear hips. Inside, the building features exposed framing, including a moulded end-of-hall beam, which may be in its original position.
