Description

Coopers is a house built in the early 19th century. It features red brick in Flemish bond, with grey brick "chainâge" partly in header bond, and has a plain tile roof. The building is two storeys high and includes a cellar. It has a chamfered brick plinth and a moulded rubbed brick string course that is interrupted at the ends and above the door to accommodate the "chainâge". The eaves cornice is made of moulded wooden modillions, and the roof is hipped. There are projecting brick gable end stacks with flues that are tile-hung above the eaves.

The front of the house has a regular arrangement of two windows, each with sixteen-pane sashes featuring thin glazing bars and segmental heads, all set in open boxes. The ground floor has two similar sashes. The central entrance is a half-glazed door with reeded panels and four top lights, framed by a slightly proud rubbed brick architrave that has quirked bead moulding and splayed rubbed brick voussoirs.

To the left, there is a tile-hung rear return wing with a roof hipped to the back. The right return wing has a stone ground floor and a red and grey brick first floor, featuring a semi-circular-headed staircase window. The rear gable end is made of stone, with the roof hipped to the back. The facade reportedly incorporates a brick dated "T.C. 1812". The interior has not been inspected.
