Description

Two small houses dating from the early 19th century are located on the High Street. They are constructed of brown brick with tiled roofs, featuring three dormers, the north-easternmost of which is hipped. A brick eaves cornice is present, with the bricks laid diagonally and their points protruding. The windows are sash windows with intact glazing bars, except for a modern shop window in the northeast corner of Mittell House. The ground floor windows have cambered head linings. The doorcases are surrounded by moulded details with projecting cornices supported on brackets, and there is a plinth. Numbers 36 to 50 (even) form a notable group.
