Description

This is a headstone located about 5 meters east of the chancel of the Church of St Peter in Swingfield. It dates from the early to mid-18th century and is made of stone. The headstone features a double, undulating head with knob shoulders. The top is carved with a central shield and is inscribed in memory of Henry (Collard or Ooinard), a bricklayer and yeoman of the parish of Alkham, who died in 1735.
