Description

This is a pair of headstones located about 1 metre north of the north chancel of the Church of St Nicholas. One headstone commemorates Mary Minter, who died in 1765, and stands about 4 feet high. It features inscriptions in three types of script, along with floriated and enriched scrolls, and two winged cherubs. The other headstone is for Henry Bax, who died in 1745, and is approximately 3 feet 6 inches high. It is adorned with floriated scrolls decorated with shells and a cherub.
