Description
Restharrow is a house that has been converted into flats, built around 1912 by Paul Phipps. The building features roughcast and brown brick with a plain tiled roof. It has a rectangular shape with projecting wings, two storeys and an attic, and deep overhanging eaves. The gables on the left and right sides are heavily coved out and there are three flat-roofed dormers. The chimney stacks are arranged from left to right and project at both ends. The facade has regular wooden casement windows that run almost uninterrupted across both storeys. The centre of the building is recessed, with the eaves curving upwards, a balcony, and a ground floor glazed screen that is pushed forward and supported by slender iron brackets. The rear elevations are simple, featuring coved projecting wings and a panelled central door. To the left (west) are one storey and attic service wings with an irregular plan, hipped roofs, and hipped dormers.
