Description
Nos 1 and 3 King Street is a 16th century timber-framed building featuring plaster infilling on the first floor and curved braces. The ground floor has been rebuilt and painted, with modern shop windows and additional windows above, one of which on the south front is leaning forward. There is brickwork over the shop front facing Market Street. At the southeast end, there is a two-storey yellow brick addition with one box sash window divided into four squares. The modern shop front includes a single similar addition with glazing bars arranged in twelve squares. The building has tiled roofs. Nos 1 and 3 King Street, along with No 2 Market Street, form a group.
