Description

Flax Court is a house dating from the 17th century or earlier, with alterations and extensions from the early 19th century. It is timber-framed and rendered, with a plain tiled roof. The two-storey house has a hipped roof and a central stack cluster. It has two glazing bar sashes on each floor, and a central panelled door within a flat-roofed porch. The rear elevation features a weatherboard outshot with a slate roof, including two horizontally sliding sashes on the first floor and two wooden casements with a glazed door to the left on the ground floor. The house is flanked to the left and right by 20th-century extensions.
