Description
Nos. 93 and 94 on High Street are a pair of houses and a shop, dating from around 1600, with 18th-century cladding and mid-19th-century alterations. The buildings are timber framed and covered with painted or red brick, topped with a plain tiled roof. They stand two storeys high on a plinth, featuring a brick dogtooth cornice at the roofline. The roof has a combination of hipped and gabled sections, with a stack located at the left end and another clustered to the right, projecting at the right end. There is a gabled dormer on the right side. The first floor has two sash windows and a metal casement, while the ground floor includes a tripartite sash window, two additional sashes, and a bow window, along with a glazed door at the right end. The interior shows evidence of the original frame from around 1600.
