Description
A group of four headstones is located about 30 metres south of the Church of St Anthony. The first headstone is for Elizabeth Jacob, who died in 1772. It stands approximately 2 ½ feet high and features an incised pediment, sheaths of corn, and a winged hourglass. The second headstone is for Elizabeth Thomas, who died in 1734. This stone is also about 2 ½ feet high and has a double segmental head with scrolled sides, along with a skull separating a crown on the left and a cherub on the right, both set within sunbursts. The third headstone commemorates Richard Thomas, who died in 1759. It is around 2 feet high and has a segmental head, scrolled shoulders, and three cherubs. The fourth headstone is for Elizabeth Church, who died in 1698. Only the top 1 foot of this stone is visible above ground, and it features a double segmental head along with motifs of a skull, hourglass, and crossed bones.
