Description
This is an 18th-century barn situated approximately 30 metres southwest of Finglesham Farmhouse. The barn is timber-framed with red brick walls and a corrugated asbestos roof. It has a half-hipped roof with two hipped mid-streys. Inside, the barn has aisles built on a very high plinth, featuring quadrant bracing and double aisle ties, with a renewed clasped purlin roof. A datestone on the south wall is inscribed with "?1775". A smaller barn is attached to the left end, likely dating from the early 19th century. This smaller barn has a timber frame, weather boarding on a tarred brick base, and an asbestos-clad roof with a hipped mid-strey. Its interior consists of four bays with aisles, all on a small scale. The barn is included in the listing primarily for its group value.
