Description
West Street Farmhouse is a house dated 1884, constructed from flint with red brick dressings and a plain tiled roof. The building consists of two parallel ranges and stands two storeys high on a raised base, which features four pilaster strips topped with shields. The ground floor is arcaded, displaying a mix of round and elliptically headed keyed and gauged brick arches, with plain brick panels on the first floor that include three roundels. The outer two roundels are adorned with flint pediment-like scrolls, while the center features a monogram. The cornice at the roof is complemented by chimney stacks on both the left and right sides. The fenestration is regular, consisting of two wooden casements and a central door made up of 12 raised and fielded panels, topped with a semi-circular fanlight. Wall ties across the front are dated 1884.
