Description
Hay Farm House is a house dating from the 16th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in English bond and has a plain tiled roof, possibly with an interior timber frame. The house has two storeys and a garret set on a plinth. A central moulded stack cluster is present. On the first floor, there are three wooden casements, and on the ground floor, there is one mullioned window along with various blocked openings. At the rear, there is a wing that is one storey high with an attic, featuring a hipped roof and two gabled dormers. The rear elevation includes two glazing bar sashes in moulded yellow stock brick arched surrounds, and the main range's rear is made of yellow and red banded brick. At the time of inspection, the building was uninhabited, badly overgrown, and in a derelict state.
