Description
Nos. 3, 4, and 5 on Canterbury Road are a row of cottages dated 1718. They are constructed from red brick, partly painted, with flint and mostly rendered surfaces, topped with a plain tiled roof. The cottages are one storey high with an attic, set on a plinth, and feature stacks at the left end, centre left, and right end. There are two hipped dormers and three gabled dormers. The windows have irregular spacing and consist of five wooden casements. There are panelled doors on the left, centre, and right, with the right door accompanied by an oriel window under a pentice roof. Above a blocked doorway to the centre right, there is a date stone inscribed with "F T E". A large number of bricks at the left end are inscribed with various initials, with some dated 1718 and others dated 1720.
