Description

The Yews is a house dating from the 17th century, located on the east side of Canterbury Road in Denton and Wootton. It features a red brick exterior in irregular English bond, with tile hanging on the first floor and a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, set on a flint plinth with a plat band. The roof is hipped with gablets, and there is a large central moulded stack along with a hipped dormer on the left side. The windows are regularly arranged, with two glazing bar sashes on each floor. The central entrance has a boarded door with a raking hood and a segmental head, framed by a fine moulded and enriched stop-chamfered door surround. At the rear, there is a catslide outshot.
