Description

Long Lane Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century or earlier. It is built of painted brick and rendered with a plain tiled roof. The house follows a three-bay lobby entry plan. It is two storeys high; the left two bays are rendered, while the right bay projects slightly and is of brick. The roof is hipped and has stacks positioned centrally to the right and at the end to the left. There are three irregular wooden casement windows on each floor. A boarded door is centrally located to the right, and there is a blank sunk panel above. Attached to the right by a short connecting wing is a hipped wing, likely originally a detached granary or outhouse. A catslide is located to the rear.
