Description

Number 41 on High Street is an 18th-century house that has been refaced with cement. It stands two storeys tall with an attic and features three windows and two dormer windows with pediments. There is a string course and a wooden modillion eaves cornice. The first-floor windows are set in moulded surrounds and retain their glazing bars. The doorway has a rectangular fanlight above a six-panel fielded door. Additionally, there is a mid-19th century projecting shop front that includes a moulded cornice and three finely carved brackets supporting it, along with pilasters. Numbers 37 to 51 (odd) form a group with this building.
