Description

No. 43 High Street is an early 19th-century, two-storey building with a stucco front, a tiled roof, and a parapet. The first floor features one box sliding sash window with glazing bars. The ground floor has a mid-19th-century shopfront with a modern door in the center, which is panelled below with glazing bars above. There is a fanlight above the door, and on either side, there are windows with complete glazing bars. The building is adorned with four pilasters and an intact cornice above. Nos. 37 to 51 (odd) form a group with this building.
