Description

49 and 51 High Street are an early 19th century house and shop. The building is three storeys high with a three-window facade. It is constructed of yellow brick with red brick relieving arches. A modillion brick cornice runs along the eaves. The original glazing bars are missing from the windows. Number 49 has a modern shop front, while number 51 retains its original doorway, featuring pilasters, a rectangular fanlight, and a six-panel door. Nos 37 to 51 (odd numbers) form a group.
