Description

Perry Farmhouse is a house dating from the 16th century with significant additions in the late 17th century. It comprises a timber-framed range, later fronted by a red brick facade with a plain tiled roof. The house is two storeys high with an attic, and stands on a plinth with a plat band and a moulded wooden eaves cornice to the roof. It features Dutch gables, two hipped dormers and stacks positioned to the left and right. The first floor has five cross windows, while the ground floor has two segmentally headed glazing bar sashes. A central half-glazed door is set within a moulded surround topped with an enriched broken segmental pediment. A single-storey rear wing, constructed of timber and brick, extends from the rear. Internally, the house retains inglenooks and moulded doorways. A dogleg staircase with a half-landing features turned balusters, although the staircase has been renewed.
