Description

The garden walls to the front courtyard of Coldred Manor were built in the early 19th century and are made of brown brick. The walls stand approximately 6 feet high and feature buttress piers that extend about 35 yards to the west of the manor. They return south along the road front, where they slope down to about 3 feet high on a buttressed base, topped with coping bricks and six low piers. After about 30 yards, the walls rise again and are finished with a pier that reaches about 5 feet high. These walls are included for their group value.
