Description

Fairfield Cottage is a detached kitchen, now a house, dating from the 15th century. It is timber framed and clad with red brick and flint, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and features a jetty on the north elevation, a hipped roof, and a stack on the north side. There is a raking porch on the south elevation with a boarded door, and an outshot on the east side that is weatherboarded. The southern elevation displays the lower half of a large ancient stack. Originally, this structure served as the detached kitchen for the nearby Fairfield House.
