Description
The General Stores is a house and shop from the 18th century that was extended in the mid-19th century. It features channelled render and a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and a basement set on a plinth, topped with a hipped roof and a stack at the rear. On the first floor, there are three sash windows. The central entrance has a recessed half-glazed door, flanked by projecting plate glass windows. To the right, there is a blocked doorway with a rectangular fanlight and a bow window containing 20 panes. The basement has openings as well. The mid-19th century extension on the left has two storeys and a parapet with a hipped roof. It includes two wooden casement windows on the first floor and two plate glass windows on the ground floor, along with a tented corrugated iron verandah supported by brackets and featuring valancing.
