Description

This is an early 17th-century building that was later refaced with brick in the mid-19th century. It is now two properties, numbered 8 and 10, on Potter Street. The building is three stories high and has a steeply pitched roof, tiled to the first floor at the rear and slated on the north side. The upper floors contain windows; the second floor has two windows, and the first floor has three. The first floor windows are double-sash windows with complete glazing bars. The ground floor of number 10 has a double-sash window with complete glazing bars, while number 8 has a converted shop front with corresponding glazing bars. Numbers 8 to 12 (even) on Potter Street, together with numbers 25 to 31 (odd) on Strand Street, form a group.
