Description

Bowling Cottage is a 16th-century building that was refaced in the early 19th century. It has two storeys and features a tiled roof with an eaves gutter. The front has four box sash windows with glazing bars. There is a dormer window, although it has modern glass and the glazing bars are missing. The entrance includes a new six-panel front door, with two of the upper panels being glazed. Fluted pilasters are present, but the entablature is missing. Bowling Cottage, along with Water Lane House and Nos 3 to 7 (odd) on Bowling Street, as well as Nos 1 to 5 (odd) on Vicarage Lane, form a group.
