Description
The Unitarian Church and adjoining Vestry, dated 1819 and designed by architect Thomas Read, is an irregular octagonal building. It stands two storeys tall and is constructed of yellow brick, featuring four brick pilasters. The roof is slate, and there is a wide bracket cornice. The front elevation includes a pediment set within brick arcading, which has a round window in its tympanum. Below this, there is a large Venetian window beneath a tile pediment, while the other windows are round-headed sashes. The entrance features a single round-headed doorcase, which is accessed by a flight of steps with a cast iron handrail. To the north side of the church is a two-storey building with one window that houses the Vestry.
