Description

12 and 14 Millwall Place are a pair of late Regency-style houses built in yellow brick. They date to the late Regency period. The ground floor features bow windows with three pilasters and two sash windows with glazing bars arranged in a pattern of eight squares. The windows above the bows are box sashes with flat arches above blind windows over the front doors. Doorways are topped with semi-circular arches. The area above the fanlights is plastered. A plaque reading "MELROSE VILLAS 1892" likely relates to the date of the chimney stacks’ rebuilding. The buildings have a moulded cornice and entablature, a flat lead roof to the bows, a parapet, and a slate roof behind. The houses are part of a group that includes numbers 10 to 32 (even).
