Description

This is a 17th-century barn located about 15 meters southeast of Wingham Well House. It features a timber frame and is weatherboarded, with an asbestos sheet roof. The rear wall is constructed of flint and rubble, along with red brick in English bond. There are steps leading to a half door made of moulded stonework with pier-capitals. The roof is hipped on the left side and half-hipped on the right, with a raking mid-stray. Inside, the barn has six bays and aisles, with passing shores and quadrant bracing on the arcade posts. The roof structure includes clasped purlins and queen struts.
