Description

This is a group of four headstones located about 15 metres southwest of the Church of St Anthony. The headstones include the following:

  1. Ann Hammond, who died in 1737, features a height of about 2½ feet with an enriched pulvinated frieze and a swan neck pediment decorated with a cherub's head.
  2. Adam Hammond, who died in 172½, stands about 2 feet high with a double segmental head and two skulls.
  3. Edward Carter, who died in 1741, is approximately 2½ feet high with a double segmental head, three skulls, and palm fronds.
  4. Adam Hammond, who died in 1783, and his wife Sarah, who died in 1789, have a headstone about 2 feet high with a shaped head featuring crude rocaille enrichment and a cherub's head.
