Description
River House is a mid-17th century timber-framed building located on the north side of King Street in Fordwich. The east wall features painted brick infilling, while the street-facing side has been refronted with painted brick. The building has a tiled roof and stands two storeys high, with an attic in the gable end. On the first floor, there are two windows with wooden lintels and later glazing bars. The ground floor includes one window with two lights and a segmental head, which has later hung sashes with glazing bars. Additionally, there is a modern door set within a wooden porch that has a hipped tiled roof.
