Description
This is a two-storey and attic building, originally comprising three separate properties: Oakdene, Stour House, and Bridge View. The structure dates back to at least 1736, with Stour House being the earliest section, later refronted. The building is constructed of red brick, with a hipped tiled roof and a brick eaves cornice. There are three hipped dormers visible. The windows are predominantly hung sashes with glazing bars, except for those in Bridge View. The ground floor windows of Stour House and Bridge View have segmental arched brick surrounds, while the two first-floor windows of Oakdene have wood lintels with keystones. Stour House features a pedimented doorway supported by brackets, and Oakdene has a more modern (and grooved) pedimented doorway. Chamfered panels are set into the reveals and door surround, and the door to Bridge View has a penticed hood on brackets. A single, panelled brick stack is also present. A stone inscribed "S (over) W. 1736" is situated between Bridge View and Stour House.
