Description

The garden walls to Watergate House and Watergate Cottage are a mix of 19th century red brick and medieval flints combined with square ashlar. These walls were likely constructed by the Bailiffs of St Augustine's Abbey in Canterbury. They include a water-gate that leads to the River Stour to the north.
