Description

An early 19th-century Regency house, likely dating to the Regency period. The house is three storeys high with a basement, constructed of stuccoed work with a rusticated basement. A parapet sits atop the building, and a bracketed cornice runs above the second floor. The windows are sash windows, some with Regency blinds. A curved bay window extends one window’s width on each of the three main floors. The front doorway is round-headed, featuring a semi-circular fanlight above the door. Area spear railings enclose the front, leading up a flight of seven stone steps with wrought iron handrails incorporating a footscraper. The rear elevation is two storeys high, with sliding sash windows and a two-storey stuccoed extension. Nos. 2 to 6, the wall and gate piers to No. 2 form a group.
