Description

This is a mid-18th century building on the north-west side of Wincheap, altered subsequently. It comprises numbers 152 to 158, with a section missing at number 156. The building is two storeys and has basements, constructed of red brick with grey headers, and has a tiled roof with three dormers, two of which are hipped. A wide modillion eaves cornice runs along the top. The building has quoins, a stringcourse, and a plinth. It originally had six windows, now mostly altered sashes and some casements. Number 152 features an early 19th-century doorcase with a cornice, panelled reveals, and two steps; the remaining properties have later doorcases. Numbers 152 to 164 (even) form a group.
