Description

Thanington Place is an 18th-century terrace of properties, numbers 126 to 136 (even). The buildings are primarily red brick, with number 134 painted brick and numbers 126 to 130 roughcast. The roofs are mostly old tiles, with a gambrel shape in part, although numbers 126 and 128 have modern cement tiles. Stone copings are present. The original windows retain some glazing bars, though most have been altered. Each property originally had a single window. Simple, round-headed doorcases with fanlights (some now filled in) are original features, alongside 4-panelled doors, although the doors themselves have been replaced in some cases. Numbers 126 to 136 (even) and number 140 form a visually cohesive group.
