Description
This is an 18th-century facade applied to an underlying timber-framed building, situated on the west side of Palace Street. The building is three storeys high with a basement, constructed of red brick and topped with a stone coping. It features two sash windows on each floor, set within moulded architraves and retaining their original glazing bars. To the right is an 18th-century wooden doorcase, characterised by a dentil band and plain pilasters, leading to two stone steps. Internally, there is a blocked 18th-century fireplace, notable for its moulded balusters and carved ball finial. The building is set within a group of buildings including the Church of St Alphege and Nos 10 to 28.
