Description

This is an 18th-century range of buildings, not uniform in design, located on the north-west side of Wincheap. The buildings are two storeys high and constructed of brick, with portions painted, stuccoed, and roughcast. The roof is tiled and hipped, featuring 11 dormers, some of which are hipped, and number 112 has a gable front. Many of the windows remain as sashes with original glazing bars. Numbers 104 and 106 have casement windows and feature a string course and fire plaques. Numbers 102 and 108 have shop fronts. The doorways are simple, some with moulded architraves and others with flat hoods supported by console brackets. Some of the doors are panelled. The building is listed at Grade II as a group, recognising its collective architectural and historical importance.
