Description
The Corner House is a 16th-century timber-framed house located on Dover Street. It features a plastered front, with the ground floor rebuilt in brick. The building has two storeys and an attic, with the first floor overhanging on curved brackets. The roof is hipped and tiled, and there is an overhanging gable in the center that contains a window on the second floor. The house has three windows, all of which are modern except for a two-light bow window at the east end on the first floor. The east front is stuccoed and dates from the early 19th century. The Corner House is part of a group with Nos 1 to 5, which are consecutive.
