Description
No. 36 St Margaret's Street is an 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall and is constructed of painted brick with an old hipped tiled roof. Each floor features a three-light sash window, and there is a curved bay that extends through all levels. The building has a plinth and an early 19th-century curved shopfront with panelled risers. The side elevation includes a moulded bracket cornice and additional sashes. One doorcase is topped with a weatherhood, while another features an open pediment supported by console brackets. Both doorcases have rectangular fanlights and six fielded panelled doors. Nos. 27 to 36 (consecutive) and the Church of St Margaret form a group.
