Description
31 St Margaret's Street is a building dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is three storeys high and constructed of red brick. The building features a wooden cornice with modillions at the eaves. There are three sash windows with intact glazing bars. On the right side, there is a late 18th-century doorcase that includes a wooden architrave with a small hood, a frieze with alternating triglyphs and paterae, and Tuscan three-quarter columns topped with plumed capitals. The doorcase has panelled reveals, a rectangular fanlight, and a six-fielded panelled door. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 27 to 36 and the Church of St Margaret.
