Description

Ramsden Farmhouse is a 15th-century timber-framed and close-studded building set on a base of red brick. The first-floor end window bays extend outward on the protruding ends of the floor joists and bressumers, and there are overhanging eaves in the section between. The farmhouse features a very steeply pitched hipped tiled roof and stands two storeys tall, with four casement windows. The first floor of the north-west front also oversails. An 18th-century L-wing made of red brick has been added to the rear of the building.
