Description
Castwisell Manor Farmhouse is a 15th-century L-shaped timber-framed building. The northeast front features close-studded timber with plaster infilling, and the first floor overhangs on joists and brackets. The farmhouse has two storeys and a tiled roof. On the first floor, there are six casement windows with small square leaded panes. The entrance includes a contemporary wooden doorcase with plain spandrels and an iron-studded door that has a large iron knocker. The sides and back of the building have been refaced with red brick on the ground floor, while the upper part is tile hung.
