Description

Medhurst is a 16th century or earlier timber-framed building that stands two storeys tall. The first floor of the north wall features plaster infilling and oversails on the protruding ends of the floor joists, supported by brackets and a corner post. The ground floor has been refaced with red brick, while the other facades have red brick on the ground floor and tile hanging above. The first floor of the west wall also oversails, and there is a brick chimney breast on this wall. The roof is steeply pitched and tiled at one end. The north elevation includes three original mullioned window openings, while the other windows have been replaced with modern casements.
