Description

Old Barrack Farm, formerly the Post Office, is located on Reading Street and dates back to 1724, as indicated on the frame of the central first-floor window. The building is two storeys tall with an attic, constructed of red brick featuring grey headers. It has a hipped tiled roof with a central chimney stack and three dormers. A stringcourse runs along the building, and there are five casement windows. The entrance is highlighted by a doorcase with a flat wooden weatherhood. Old Barrack Farm, along with Ebony Cottage, Wellbro Cottage, and Skeers House, forms a cohesive group of buildings.
