Description

Charing Windmill is an early 19th-century smock mill clad in weatherboarding. It features an octagonal red brick "round-house" with a wooden platform situated above it, and a boat-shaped cap. The sweeps were removed in 1917, and the fantail is also missing. The mill ceased operation in 1892. Later, the machinery was removed, and the main floor was converted into a studio.
