Description
The stone setts, balustraded piers, and curved steps were built in 1912 when the circa 1862 Hubert Fountain was installed in Victoria Park. The materials used include stone for the setts and steps, while the balustrading and piers are made of concrete.
The arrangement of the stone setts is roughly circular, enclosing the fountain's basin, with extensions to the south-east and south-west. In the eastern quadrant, there are five curved stone steps leading up to the basin, which are flanked by low concrete balustrades on plinths. Each side of the steps features six panelled concrete piers.
