Description

The Bank consists of two buildings, Nos 2 and 3, which date back to the 16th century or earlier. This timber-framed structure features close-studding and is two storeys high, with plaster infilling. The first floor overhangs, supported by the ends of the floor joists and brackets. It has a tiled roof with two gabled dormers and three casement windows that have small square leaded panes. No 1 is an early 19th-century addition that includes an external chimney stack originally belonging to No 2. This part of the building is also two storeys high and rendered, with a hipped tiled roof, one cambered casement window, and a simple round-headed doorcase on the left side.
