Description
Nos 1 to 5 Kings Parade is a mid-19th century building that was formerly a market structure and is now divided into shops. It is two storeys high and has a stuccoed exterior. The building features a central pediment with a modillion eaves cornice and a slate roof. Four plain pilasters extend the full height of the building, and there is a modillion band above the shop fronts. The façade includes ten sash windows of varying sizes, all with intact glazing bars. The west end of the building is rounded and features paired Tuscan columns up to the first floor, a rusticated ground floor, and a round window in the gable end. The shop fronts have been modernized. Nos 1-5 form a cohesive group.
